Brief Description

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role, you ideally will hold a C/4 grade in both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You will have gained a GCSE, BTEC or A Level in IT or have some hands-on experience with software, coding & programming.

Training to be Provided

You will be enrolled onto the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. The Software Developer (Level 3) apprenticeship contains the following knowledge modules and Microsoft Technological Associate (MTA) certi?cations:

? Software Development Context & Methodologies
? Programming
? MTA Software Development Fundamentals (C#)
? MTA Database Fundamentals

You will attend 3 training courses to help you pass the exams for the 2 knowledge modules and the MTA:
? Software Development Context & Methodologies
? Programming Using C#
? Database Fundamentals

These qualifications are globally recognised industry certifications and form the significant building block of software development knowledge for anybody looking to start a career in software development.

Future prospects include progressing into a more senior role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

We are looking for a technically savvy and resourceful apprentice to join the innovative and exciting world of software and web development.

Job Role

As a Level 3 Software Developer Apprentice, you will be undertaking a recognised apprenticeship qualification including Microsoft certifications, at the same time as working as part of the company?s software development team.
You?ll work as part of the team to learn about the latest technologies the company uses to deliver what they need, including C#, Java Script and HTML to name a few. You will be assisting with projects and gaining on the job knowledge whilst gaining a qualification.

This role will involve working both in the office and from home. As a Microsoft Software Developer Apprentice your main role and responsibilities will include:
? Creating new applications
? Testing new software applications
? Development and maintenance of existing applications
? Complete all apprenticeship requirements
? Support the wider team with business requirements.

Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible start to your professional career within the IT industry.

Other Information

Location - SY1, but with frequent working from home
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.30am ? 5.30pm (37.5 hours per week)
Wage = ?175 per week
