Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role, you must have a C/4 grade in both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You will have gained a GCSE, BTEC or A Level in IT or have some hands-on experience with software, coding & programming.

Training to be Provided
You will be enrolled onto the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. The Software Developer (Level 3) apprenticeship contains the following knowledge modules and Microsoft Technological Associate (MTA) certi?cations:
? Software Development Context & Methodologies
? Programming
? MTA Software Development Fundamentals (C#)
? MTA Database Fundamentals
You will attend 3 training courses to help you pass the exams for the 2 knowledge modules and the MTA:
? Software Development Context & Methodologies
? Programming Using C#
? Database Fundamentals
These qualifications are globally recognised industry certifications and form the significant building block of software development knowledge for anybody looking to start a career in software development.
Future Prospects
Progression on to the Level 4 Software Development apprenticeship and a full time role upon completion of the apprenticeship.

About the Company
Our client, based in Kidderminster was established in 1979. They are a total IT support solutions provider, offering IT services specific to individual business requirements and are a leading provider of Microsoft and Pegasus Opera 3 business software.
Job Role
As a Level 3 Software Developer Apprentice, you will be undertaking a recognised apprenticeship qualification including Microsoft certifications, at the same time as working as part of the company?s software development team.
You?ll work as part of the team to learn about the latest technologies the company uses to deliver what they need, including C# and .net. You will be assisting with projects and gaining on the job knowledge whilst gaining a qualification.
As a Software Developer Apprentice your main role and responsibilities will include:
? Providing customers with support on a range of software platforms
? Regular checks throughout the day of Support Mail and Support System for new jobs and either resolution of reported issues or escalation to the team
? Assisting with in-house repairs to customer data
? Assisting with the in-house creation of reports and documents using Visual Foxpro, XRL and Crystal
? Once trained you will be Programming in C# and .net and assisting with the creation of SQL queries and scripts
Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible start to your professional career within the IT industry.
