Brief Description

We are looking for a technically savvy and resourceful apprentice to join the innovative and exciting world of software tech support, working within a great team, within their lovely office environment.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role, you must have a C/4 grade in both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You will have gained a GCSE, BTEC or A Level in IT or have some hands-on experience with software, coding & programming.
Please note that you must not hold an existing qualification at a higher level in a similar subject (e.g. a degree).

Computer Programming 101
Delve deep into modern programming in its various forms.
Explore desktop, web and mobile app development along with concepts such as machine learning and AI.

Databases
Gain a practical understanding of databases including design, queries, administration and maintenance.

Development Methodologies & Testing
Explore the major development methodologies such as agile and waterfall and testing techniques to understand how to develop quality software as a team.

Business Context
Understand the business context in relation to software development

Future Prospects

A permanent position is available on completion of the apprenticeship

Job Role

As a Level 3 Software Support Technician Apprentice, you will be undertaking a recognised apprenticeship qualification at the same time as working as part of the company’s software development team.
As an apprentice your main role and responsibilities will include:
• Providing software support for Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning software
• Providing support with software installations
