Brief Description

Intequal, in partnership with the Microsoft Apprenticeship Programme, are offering this exciting opportunity to embark on a career as an IT Apprentice.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role, you must have at least a C grade in both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You should have a GCSE/BTEC/A Level in ICT or at least hands-on experience with the workings of computers and IT.

Training to be Provided

You will be enrolled on to the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. You will work towards gaining skills across a variety of technical areas including Cloud Technologies and Network Fundamentals. This will extend also business processes and project management. You will also have the opportunity to gain some globally recognised Microsoft certifications.

Future Prospects

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship you will achieve Microsoft accredited certifications this is a fantastic starting point in your IT career, for the right candidate future career progression within the company is almost certainly an option.

This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. Job Role
The company require a proactive IT support apprentice with the aptitude for communication and interest in Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as Windows.
This role will initially be involved in the logging and provision of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support (depending on skillset), telephone and field support to internal and external customers and to ensure that targets and SLAs are met.
You will be required to assist in projects or other technical services when needed, to provide research and analysis for new services when requested, to provide recommendations, to build/install PCs and configure other hardware/software, to liaise with third party suppliers and to set up email and user accounts.

As an IT support apprentice, you main roles and responsibilities will include:
? Follow standard working practices
? Provide Helpdesk technical support to customers
? Log, Analyse and fix support cases, escalating as required
? Complete a Needs Analysis when necessary
? Provide technical recommendations
? Regularly update cases on the system
? Regularly update customers of case statuses
? Build PC?s and configure other equipment and software
? Install PC?s and other equipment and software
? Provide User Orientation training
? Update the asset database
? Write and maintain procedures
? Follow assigned procedures
? Set up email and user accounts
? Liase with 3rd party suppliers
? Provide analysis and research for new services when requested
? Monitor event logs and server usage
? Assist on the implementation of projects and new tech services
