Brief Description

This is an exciting and excellent opportunity to commence an IT Support Apprenticeship, and learn all aspects of ICT support within a local and growing company. You will receive training in a wide variety of areas and gain a fantastic amount of experience gaining valuable work experience whilst achieving a nationally recognized qualification.

Qualifications Required

Minimum of 5 GCSE?s grades A - C or grade 4 and above (or equivalent) including Maths, English and ICT

Skills Required

? Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft office, Exchange and general network support desirable

Training to be Provided

CORE MODULES
The apprenticeship contains the following three core key modules which seek to develop the
knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be a successful Information Communications Technician.
The final module is a Pathway module to provide specialist career track skills and knowledge depending
on which track was chosen at the outset from the 3 options available.

Computer Fundamentals & Security
Gain an understanding of the core concepts in computing including hardware, software, security and troubleshooting.

Introduction to Networking & Cloud Services
An introduction to the fundamental cloud
concepts of networking and cloud computing, including networking
modules, devices and protocols.

Communication in Support
Support in IT requires good communications skills. Develop your communications skills by exploring the best practices of support.

We intend to offer a permanent position to a suitable apprentice who can demonstrate that they to possess the right qualities, determination, attitude and ability to perform the required tasks assigned to them.

Vacancy Detail

A great opportunity to work, learn and earn within an expanding company. You will assist the Network support manager to:

Day to day duties:
? Answer telephone and first line support
? Check support emails daily
? Check clients? server status remotely and report any error messages daily.
? Restart any applications that have crashed overnight.
? Remotely assist clients to fix network, printer and email issues.
? Source supplier and obtain best price for new hardware or service.
? Check backup and software security status for priority clients.
? You will receive training in network support, hardware support, Windows server, Microsoft Sql and other software.
? Provide technical support and advice to clients over the phone and at client visits (Accompanied with Network support manager).
? Perform routine ICT tasks.
? Manage small projects.
? Facilitate the smooth running of the network by undertaking reasonable tasks as required, including some administrative tasks.
? Provide support and maintenance for network hardware and software.
? Support clients in the use of ICT equipment.
? Report faults to the Network Manager as required.
? Attend meetings as and when required.
? Full training will be given and qualified staff will always be on hand to guide and mentor you.

Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible start in your professional career within the IT industry.

? Must have a valid driving licence and have access to a car..
? The job will be mainly office based but once you are competent, will occasionally require client site visits. All expenses to and from client sites will be met
