Brief Description

Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role, you ideally will hold a C/4 grade in both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You will have gained a GCSE, BTEC or A Level in IT or have some hands-on experience with software, coding & programming.
Please note that you must not hold an existing qualification at a higher level in a similar subject (e.g. a degree).

CORE MODULES
Computer Programming 101
Delve deep into modern programming in its various forms.
Explore desktop, web and mobile app development along with concepts such as machine learning and AI.
Databases
Gain a practical understanding of databases including design, queries, administration and maintenance.
Development Methodologies & Testing
Explore the major development methodologies such as agile and waterfall and testing techniques to understand how to develop quality software as a team.
Business Context
Understand the business context in relation to software development
Future Prospects
This is a newly created position as the last apprentice has been promoted to a full-time position in the business, and our client would like to do the same again following successful completion of the course.

We are looking for a technically savvy and resourceful apprentice to join the innovative and exciting world of software and web development.
Job Role
As a Level 3 Web Developer Apprentice, you will be undertaking a recognised apprenticeship qualification including Microsoft certifications, at the same time as working as part of the company?s software development team.
You?ll work as part of the team to learn about the latest technologies the company uses to deliver what they need, including C#, Java Script and HTML to name a few. You will be assisting with projects and gaining on the job knowledge whilst gaining a qualification.
As a Web Developer Apprentice your main role and responsibilities will include:
? Learning how to collate feature requests
? Helping existing staff with front-end development using Octopus Deploy Technology
? Being responsible for extracting data and processing the extracted data
? Learning and developing skills in integration management using Team City technology.
? Updating software and systems development
? Becoming a valued part of the Software Development team
? Gaining on the job experience and being able to utilize the skills you have gained over the duration of your apprenticeship.
